Cooling Bed Sheets
$49.99
Cooling bed sheets for hot sleepers, night sweats and warm bedrooms — a light, open-weave blend that wicks moisture off the skin and lets body heat escape between wakings. Our cooling bed sheets are 52% TENCEL™ Lyocell / 48% extra-long-staple cotton at 118 gsm, woven as open-structure percale, cut with a 17 in. pocket and offered in every standard bed size.

Why cooling bed sheets actually work
Waking at 2am damp and pushing the duvet off the end of the bed is rarely a duvet problem. It is usually the layer touching your skin. Sheets that hold moisture keep it against you, and the body then has to work harder to shed heat — which is why a night-sweat episode so often ends with a full change of bedding rather than a quick cool-down.
Our cooling bed sheets are built the other way round: an open, lightweight structure that lets air pass, made from a fibre chosen for moving moisture on rather than holding it. Lower weight and a flatter weave do more for surface coolness than any thread-count figure — which is why the number to look at here is grams per square metre rather than threads per inch.

What cooling bed sheets do and don’t do
Precision matters here. The fabric does not refrigerate; it removes the insulating damp layer and lets body heat escape, so the bed re-cools between wakings instead of staying warm. That is the difference people actually feel through a hot night, and it is why quick drying matters as much as initial cool-to-touch.

How to care for your cooling bed sheets
- Wash warm on a normal cycle with like colours
- Tumble dry low; remove promptly to preserve the drape
- No fabric softener — softener is the single fastest way to undo a cooling fabric, because the coating it leaves is exactly the barrier the weave was designed to avoid
- Skip bleach and biological detergents — both damage the lyocell fibre
- Line-drying preserves airflow the longest
Cooling bed sheets vs Tencel vs jersey
If you want the same effect from a plant-based fibre, our Tencel sheet set is the closest neighbour — pure lyocell in a sateen. Jersey is the softer, stretchier alternative if temperature is only a secondary concern. For maximum breathability, our linen sheet set also runs cool though it feels more textured.
Frequently asked questions
Do cooling bed sheets really work?
Yes — the mechanism is moisture management, not refrigeration. Cooling bed sheets remove the damp insulating layer that traps heat against your skin, letting body heat escape and the bed re-cool between wakings. Warm sleepers usually notice the difference within a week.
Are cooling bed sheets good for night sweats?
They are one of the most reliable bedding upgrades for night sweats — the lightweight open weave dries quickly, so a sweat episode does not leave you lying in damp cotton. Wash weekly on warm to keep the fabric working at its best.
What GSM should cooling bed sheets be?
Under about 140 gsm. Anything heavier holds more heat regardless of fibre. Ours is 118 gsm — deliberately at the lighter end of the spectrum.
Can I use cooling bed sheets in winter?
Yes, if you sleep hot year-round. Cooling bed sheets are not a summer-only product; they simply do not add warmth the way a brushed cotton or fleece would.
